To ensure the long-term reliability and safety of Belgium`s electricity grid, Elia is carrying out targeted maintenance works on the 150 kV power line between Langerbrugge and Nieuwe Vaart in Wondelgem.
Following routine inspections, signs of wear were identified on several transmission towers. For three towers, the wear is located in hard-to-reach areas, requiring the replacement of the tower peak (the upper section of the tower).
