#Malawi has commissioned a 20 MW battery energy storage system in capital Lilongwe to improve grid reliability, reduce reliance on diesel-powered generation, and cut carbon emissions. CGTN spoke to Carol Koech, Vice President for Africa at the Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP), about the role of battery storage in supporting Malawi`s energy transition.
