Aug 10, 2025 - The first HVDC transmission line in Pakistan: Matiari-Lahore ±660kV DC transmission project The Matiari-Lahore ±660kV DC transmission project is the first HVDC transmission line in Pakistan, invested, constructed, and operated by the State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC). State Grid Jilin Electric Power has participated in its construction and maintenance. Since entering operation in 2021, the project has been running smoothly for over 1,800 days, delivering high-quality electricity each year to around 9 million households across Pakistan.
