Aug 4, 2026 - South Africa powers up Ummbila Emoyeni Wind Farm One of South Africa`s largest new renewable energy projects has entered commercial operation, marking another step in the country`s drive to expand electricity generation while cutting emissions. Located in the coal-producing province of Mpumalanga, the wind energy project reflects South Africa`s efforts to build cleaner power capacity without compromising energy security or jobs.
