Nov 2, 2016 - Hybrid overhead power lines in Switzerland The «Hybrid overhead power lines in Switzerland» project (NRP 70) implemented by the ETH Zurich and supported by Swissgrid, investigated how the combination of direct and alternating current systems can increase the transfer capacity of existing 380 kV overhead power lines.
