After 10 years of international collaboration with Energinet, and 5 years of construction, the world`s longest subsea and land interconnector between the UK and Denmark is switched on. World`s longest: The electricity link stretches a record-breaking 765km (475 miles) between Bicker Fen in Lincolnshire with Revsing substation in southern Jutland, Denmark. Powering the UK: At full capacity Viking Link will enable the sharing of enough clean electricity to power up to 2.5 million UK homes.
