Anyone who has driven to Indianapolis International Airport has for years seen the massive solar farm on the outskirts of the property.
One hundred and eighty seven acres of solar panels produce about 25 megawatts of energy, enough to power 3,000 homes. That power all goes back to the common electric grid.
Now, three more solar panel projects are underway on the grounds as the airport builds its own micro grids.
