The successful installation of the 23rd and final foundation element (caisson) in the North Sea, 45 kilometres off the Belgian coast, marks the completion of the foundation works for Princess Elisabeth Island by Elia Transmission Belgium and TM Edison, the consortium comprising DEME and Jan De Nul. This project forms a crucial link in the expansion of offshore wind energy and in plans for a future interconnector with the United Kingdom.
